Hi,
2GB is maxmem on UP2000 and UP2000+, 768MB is maxmem on UP1x00,
because the Chipsets cant see 256MBit-Chips on the memorymodules,
only until 128MBit, UP2000 uses registered ECC-RAM, UP1x00 uses
non-registered ECC-RAM, but registered SHOULD run too on them, well,
you have to try this point.
Regards, Mike.
>According to the specification page of the API web site,
>the upper limit of the memory capacity of the UP2000
>board is just 2GB. The UP2000 has eight slots.
>Nowadays, we can find 512MB DIMMs in the market.
>Will UP2000 detect and use more than 2GB of
>total memory without trouble?
>Also, the web page says that the upper limit in the
>case of UP1100/1000 is 700+ MB only.
>That is too small.
>Do they use the same type of memory modules?
>I wish to take the memory out from UP2000 and
>to put them in a new UP1100.
>Thanks.
