OpenBSD3.0 + Toshiba Satellite 110CS + XF86Config

I keep trying different setting with xf68config and try to use
XF86Config files from the net for this machine and none of them get me
a good screen.  Im curious is anyone else is/has used this machine
with X and if they wouldnt mind sharing an XF86Config file with me.
If thats not possible any ideas what I can do?

When I use this or pretty much any other example of the net, I get
errors pointing to lines about missing driver line.

It seems that any device section must have a driver line.

Any ideas??

(I dont know what drivers to specify)

I will try to pick through it by trying to fill in the info that is
causing the the XServer to fail by using values from the 'xf86config'
script

I dont think I will get this working though

The url I posted refers to X version 3.2, which at the time had a server
called SVGA. You need to tailor the config file so that it points to an
equivalent server of the version of X that you are attempting to run.

(of course, that server needs to be installed first)

I have a good XF86Config file going now, everything is great for the
exception of one thing, the X session will only use up 3/4 of my
screen width.  I am happy that I have got this far with this clunker,
but I am curious if there is a way to adjust the width of the X screen
to take up the entire lappy screen

thanx

In the bios, there is a setting to stretch the screen. Have you had a play
with that?

1. Linux on Toshiba Satellite 110CS

I have reviewed the documentation available on how to install RedHat
5.2 Linux on the Toshiba Satellite 110CS and, not being a 'C'
programmer or Linux guru, don't have a clue what they are talking
about.  Can anyone explain exactly how to do this ?  It appears that
some special work has to be done when I first start the installation
process.  I will be installing from a parallel port CD device
(backpack) which, I have read, will work,... probably.  Please respond
either in group or by email.

I realize this may not be a very simple request to respond to so I
really appreciate your efforts if you choose to help me.  I have
completed two installation on two desktops so I do understand the
basics.
