Kernel compile question. (another newbie question)

- I finally got my system to install, and now I'm ready to compile a
- custom kernel.  I may be use to everything being right there for me from
- FreeBSD, where is my /usr/sys/src/i386/conf ?

The kernel configuration files are under
/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/conf.  Look there and you should find the
GENERIC kernel configuration files, among others.

-            I downloaded my distribution from the OpenBSD ftp,  I belive
- I'm missing quite a few files.  I'm not sure exactly how to get the
- files I'm missing so I can make my kernel.

I doubt it.  I've never had that problem with OpenBSD
(versions 2.3-5).

Yet again, I solved my problem.  Incase anyone else has this problem,
make sure you don't forget to download the srcsys.tar.gz file in the higher
directory.  I completely skipped that file.

1. Newbie question - filesystems !compiling into kernel

I may be missing a step, but ...

Despite choosing several filesystems, compiling the kernel succesfully
(seemingly, using "make config, make dep, make clean, make zImage"), and
reconfiguring LILO, the kernel that boots claims to have no support for
the filesystems I choose in make config.  Checking the kernel version
with "uname -a" shows that it is the new kernel, but still no filesystem
support.

Any idea what gives?
