Q: How do I get the mouse to work in X?

I tried running the xf86config, it says to set the type of mouse and
the speed but none of the settings enable my mouse.  I'm attempting
OpenBSD on a Thinkpad(IBM laptop).  I tried PS/2 and Microsoft mice at
all different speeds and none of them work. Help!

also, an easier way to do this is /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86Setup you may want
to run
superprobe to see what you have.

You need to configure it as a Bus mouse in xf86config.. at
least I did on my Thinkpad 770.  If this doesn't work,
then get the latest kernel source.  I recall PS/2 problems
with the 2.5 kernel.

1. Help Getting Gateway 2000 Mouse port mouse working w/ X

I'm installing X using the XF96Setup command and can't get the mouse to
work. I tried all the devices, protocols and baud rates to no avail.
Can someone give me some pointers? I'm using a MS ergo-mouse plugged
into the mouse port. I've gotten it working before w/ a serial mouse
but not a mouse port mouse.

I would appreciate E-Mail replies... I don't get to the groups all the
time but I'll check to groups regardless

Thanks in Advance !
