How to setup sympatico HSE under redhat 7

Hi,

I am trying to get sympatico HSE working under redhat 7. I have a
Dlink DFE-530TX ethernet card from bell. I downloaded the via-rhine.c
but can't compile it (probably because I don't have kernel source
installed). However, I do have via-rhine.o already in the modules (I
think it came with redhat 7). I don't seems to have eth0 anywhere.
Could somebody give me a step-by-step setup instruction please? (I
don't know anything about linux, so please go to the basics). Thanks
in advance.

1. Sympatico HSE ADSL and RH6.0

Hi I just got Sympatico HSE and I am trying to get it working with my
Linux box. It works fine with my W95 ( I really hate saying that). I was
previously using PPP without any problems. After copying and modifying
scripts from
http://eservice.sympatico.ca/welcomeknowbase/root/Public/1699.htm?Sub...
,
I get an I/O write error on /dev/ttyp1 and pppd doesn't start.
Any suggestions ?

Thank you,
Roman
