ADM8211 Linux driver

ADM8211 Linux driver

Post by Jonathan L » Tue, 10 Jun 2003 05:49:50

I just bought a LanReady WP2000 802.11b PCI NIC card. It comes with
Windows drivers. But LanReady doesn't provide any Linux driver. Since
this card uses  ADM8211 controller, I download the Linux driver from
ADMTek web site. The file I download is "ADM8211 Linux driver
1.03.tar.gz". However, after I de-compress the file, the README file
says the correct driver file shall be "install_RH73_100.tar.gz" or
"install_RH80_100.tar.gz".

1. Which file is the correct one? "ADM8211 Linux driver 1.03.tar.gz"
or "install_RH73_100.tar.gz"? I am using RedHat 7.3.

2. If "install_RH73_100.tar.gz" is the correct file, where can I get
it?

3. If "ADM8211 Linux driver 1.03.tar.gz" is the correct file, where
can I get the correct installation instruction? Note that the README
file generated is no good. For example, after I did

tar zxvf ADM8211 Linux driver 1.03.tar.gz

I didn't get the Install directory mentioned in README.

4. If you know of a different driver I can use, please let me know.

Thank you for you help.
