Hi
I'm a Linux newbee and at the moment I'm feeling lucky I created a
dual boot (with win2k). I can't get my modem installed. It is an
Alcatel SpeedTouch USB modem.
I found instructions at a site with a driver of Beno?t Papillault.
I've followed the instructions and it went well till I needed the
driver. Then I had to use the command 'make' (I don't know what it
does) and he gives the following error:
cc -g -O2 -Wall -I/usr/src/linux/include -c -o modem_run.o
modem_run.c
make: cc: commando niet gevonden (translation to English: "make:
cc: command not found")
make: *** [modem_run.o] Fout 127 (translation: "make: ***
[modem_run.o] Error 127")
Can anyone help me with this problem? I'm working with Red Hat 8.0
Linux.
