MySQL MyODBC RedHat 8 San Jose - San Francisco help

Post by Jim Brow » Fri, 17 Jan 2003 08:46:49

I've been trying for weeks to get MySQL, unixODBC and MyODBC to work on
RedHat 8.
I really need help from someone who knows what they are doing.

Is ther  someone in the San Jose - San Francisco area who could sit with me
and my laptop and get this working?

Thanks
Jim

Although I would enjoy he ride ( from denmark) I'm nor sure that my bank
would enjoy the ticket price ;-) So I'll try remote -
get the latest mysql rpm's from mysql.com and install them, then ODBC
will work

It appears to be a known problem with RedHat's mysql builds.

Best luck

1. Opinions wanted on San Francisco/San Jose Linux dealers

I'm thinking of buying an Intel Linux machine. I was thinking that a local
dealer might be advantageous (assuming that the company wasn't mail order
only).  Would anyone care to share positive or negative experiences with
dealers in the area, such as ASL Workstations, NetExpress, or others?
