Newbie: Configuring Nic and Running @Home Cable Modem

Hi

I've just installed RH 7.0 (and am slowly reading the complete reference
book) so please excuse my dumb question....
How do I get RH to recognize and set-up my NIC ( an HP EN1207D-TX PCI 10/100

and I'm hoping the Network Configuration options are easily configured when
the NIC is installed..  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I am using RedHat V6.1 but the sample files I have will work on V7.0.
There are 5 files that need to be setup and DHCP does not work to well if at
all in V 7.0 nor on V6.1.

I do not know if Linux has a driver for your particular NIC you may have to get
help elswhere for that.

I can send you my sample files if you send me an E-mail requesting them.

I have a NE2000 clone that works fine and a 3com9x also.

I should also note that your modules path will have a different path then
2.2.14 (i have two linux boxes, one with RH 7.0 and one with RH 6.2, the
driver was compiled on 7.0, but i told the path from 6.2)
