mysterious log entries

syslog.0:Oct 26 01:06:05 giganator sh: 3^Iopen^I/dev/tty^I#success
syslog.0:Oct 26 01:07:05 giganator sh: 3^Iopen^I/dev/tty^I#success

I have these and several more, going back as far as October 10.  I never
noticed them before.

I have no clue what these signify.  A web search revealed someone on a SuSE
security web forum a few months ago posting identical log entries, but no
one ever answered him.  I didn't turn up anything else.

Dan,

giganator is the name of his machine. My machine has no name,
as you can see here:
Oct 30 00:15:25 nameless syslogd 1.4.1: restart.

1. Several entries in log into one entry, how?

Hi,

How can I figure out which entries in the access log belong to the same
'click' in the clients browser.
For instance, if a user requests a certain page, the log will contain
several entries for different objects
on that page.

Is there a (simple) way to put these together?

Regards,
/Daniel
