Can't use RSA Authentification with public/private keys pair when using ssh
between 2 RedHat 7.2 OS. Only the password authentification works.
I generate a pair with ssh_keygen on the first machin and then append the
identity.pub in authorized_keys on the second machin. But when i lauch "ssh
machin2" on the first machin a password is required.
the sshd_config RSAAuthentication directive is YES
Does someone know which can be the problem ?

Permissions/ownership of authorized_keys[2] or the directories / /home /home/*
/home/*/.ssh/ probably.

Check your logs. The problem will be described in there.

Did you create keys for the correct protocol version?
I think most ssh clients now use protocol version 2
by default, but ssh-keygen still generates version 1
keys by default.

I can second his complaint. SuSE 7.1 Personal, I've never managed to
get ssh-agent to work with my ISP. Always asks for passwords.
Nothing relevant in the logs.
