Hi!

Is there anyone here, who would be so kind as to help me compile these
tools for a linux box?

Thanks in advance.

Please reply me via e-mail too.

All of the tools that you have mentioned are all outdated, except
SANTA (I think you mean SAINT, the SATAN replacement). When ever you
get a new tarball, you should read the README and the INSTALL (if it
exist) file which will give you instructions on how to build. Let us
return to your question:

(1) SAINT and SARA (a similiar tool). After you have extracted the
file, place the directory created where you want it to be. Next type

        perl reconfig

    Next type

        make

    You are done.

(2) TARA (replacement for tiger). TARA is script based, so you don't
have to recompile. You might want to copy "tigerrc-dist" to
"tigerrc" and customize it to suit your site. This is all
documented in the "README" file. I also find that I have to edit
some of the scripts myself to suit my site.
