Removing right justification in LaTex

Removing right justification in LaTex

Post by Steve Morga » Tue, 08 Oct 1996 04:00:00

Hi,

I'd appreciate any hints on preventing*from right-justifying
lines within a paragraph. Also, is there a way to stop it hyphenating
words across two lines?

Thanks,

Steve

I assume you're asking how to prevent justification (parallel edges) -
that one's easy - declare \raggedright in your preamble.  The second
is a little trickier (lemme look it up... hyphenation, turning off, 54)

Surround the paragraph with \begin{sloppypar} .. \end{sloppypar},
or put \sloppy in the preamble.

That should solve your problems.

1. Can I prevent right-justification in LaTeX?

Hi All

I am writing an article. They require the columns not to be
right-justified. Is there anyway that I can do this? It's quite urgent
to me. If you know the answer, please send me email as soon as
possible. Thanks in advance. Bye.
