dvi2tty for DOS or OS2

Post by Randy Wigl » Sat, 13 Apr 1996 04:00:00

I have read a number of emails saying that dvi2tty was available for
msdos or os2 (I'll need both.) They say find it on CTAN. Unfortunately, I
have had no luck finding anything other than the source code.

Part of the problem is that both shsu and Dante hung up on me during my
explorations.

Would someone help me find the executables please?. Thanks in advance.

dvi2tty for DOS or OS2

dvi2tty comes with gTeX as an executable, but I can't get the sucker to
work.  Here's the error I get:

This is dvi2tty, Version 3.2 (gTeX distribution 2.1)
c:/tex/dvi2tty.exe: Cannot create dvi stack

Any tips?

Yes. Look on ftp-os2.cdrom.com or ftp-os2.nmsu.edu, in the index. I uploaded
dvi2tty (or dvitty, I forget), and it works, at least on OS/2.
Haven't tried M$-DOS.   Stefan

PS: If you can't find it send email; I have it here, too. S.

Subject: DVI -> Canon LBP4 (CAPSL) in EmTex under OS2/DOS

Hi, can anyone help me. I am running the newest EmTeX under OS/2 and
DOS, and want to be able to print LaTeX files on my Canon LBP4
laserprinter. Now, I can find DVI -> xxx, where xxx are printers from
HP, EPSON, PostScript, Canon BubbleJet, etc., but NONE for my
Canon laserprinter.

Does anyone know about a DVI -> Canon LBP4 (CAPSL) utility to I can
get to benifit from the world of LateX/EmTex??

Sincerely,
Torben
