## inserting pictures

### inserting pictures

I am trying to create a document that has some pages that require more
than three pages per page.  I am trying to use:
\begin{figure}
\begin{minipage}[h]{0.5\linewidth}
...
\end{minipage}
\end{figure}

When I do this*only allows me to only put 3-4 pages per page then
it begins to put the figures on the next page.  Is there any way to
force*to put the pictures where I want.

You might give it a try with the follwoing command in the preamble of your
document:

\renewcommand{\topfraction}{.9}                 % max. fraction of floats
on top of page (was .7)
setcounter{bottomnumber}{5}                       % max. nr. of floats on
top of page (was 1)
\renewcommand{\bottomfraction}{.9}            % max. fraction of floats on
top of page (was .3)
\setcounter{totalnumber}{10}                        % max. nr. of floats
per page (was 3
\renewcommand{\textfraction}{.05}               % min. fraction of text on
page (was .2)
\renewcommand{\floatpagefraction}{.05}      % min. fraction of page that
has to be used for floats (was .5)
\renewcommand{\topfraction}{0.85}
\renewcommand{\bottomfraction}{0.65}
\renewcommand{\floatpagefraction}{.7}

You might get some pretty ugly effects with these settings (I found them
like this in a book), but you are free to play around with them. You might
only need 'totalnumber' one.

Pictures per page?

have a look at subfigure.sty and subfloat.sty. And read epslatex.ps.

Hello everyone!
I want to insert jpegs in my latex-document, but \input does not work.
where have i to copy the file, so that latex will find it?
or am i just using the wrong order?
