UX:grep: ERROR: Cannot open phvr8rn.log
UX:grep: REASON: No such file or directory
mktexpk: `mf \mode:=ljfzzz; mag:=1+874/1200; nonstopmode; input phvr8rn' failed to make phvr8rn.2074pk.
kpathsea: Appending font creation commands to missfont.log.
dvips: Font phvr8rn not found, characters will be left blank.
I have not the slightest idea where to look or what might be the cause
for this, since it worked before w/o problem. We had recently added
some unrelated files to our local texmf tree and re-ran texhash, so
the ls-lR files have been rebuilt.
The only phvr8rn files we have in the main tetex tree are:
% find . -name phvr8rn\*
./fonts/pk/modeless/adobe/helvetic/phvr8rn.1080pk
./fonts/tfm/adobe/helvetic/phvr8rn.tfm
% kpsewhich tfm phvr8rn.tfm
/disk1/software/tetex/1.0/share/texmf/fonts/tfm/adobe/helvetic/phvr8rn.tfm
Directory access dates do not show anything unusual (file removals).
If anyone has a tip where to look or what to fix, I'd be very
thankful.
