Hmmf. I can't be the only one who thinks that the CMR
uppercase 'R' is an abomination, can I?

However, Personal TeX has a package which allows one to use the
Bitstream fonts with any printer and TeX (it creates PKs and
TFMs). The package is $95 (or $179 for the package plus Bitstream
Swiss or Dutch). Bitstream fonts run around $129 each.

1. last-minute request for help with font sizing
Hi all, apologies for breaking the 'work-it-out-by-self' thing...
numerous web searches aren't helping me, nor are the references I have,
and I have about an hour to get this sorted out... (freaking out :)
Can anyone give me a single one-line command in regular TeX (not LaTex)
to increase font size? Right now, I'm using cmr12, but it isn't scaling
very well, i.e. not at all.
I'm not particular about the font, but it's for a uni essay, so needs to
be something reasonable, i.e. not Wingdings :)
Many thanks.
