I have a NIC with the VIA Rhine II chipset and see that there are two
drivers for it. The standard Linux kernel has the via_rhine.o driver. VIA
offers a driver called rhinefet.o. VIA (on http://www.viaarena.com) does
not really provide any guidance on what the difference between these two
is. Is there any reason why I would want to choose one over the other?
I was wondering if anybody had experience with these two, and can tell me
what the advantages or drawbacks of using one or the other is? Any
problems/pitfalls to be aware of?
Thanks!
Ingo
