Hello,

On a Linux Slackware (kernel 1.1.18) linked to Internet via
a leased line, one gets the following into /usr/adm/messages:

Quote:>  ICMP: Could not build IP Header for ICMP ECHO Response.
>    ...last message repeated 13 times

Any ideas about the cause of that will be greatly appreciated.
(email answers preferred)

Cheers,
  Chris

Me too. In fact I've been getting this since 1.1.18! Also, the route
proggie is suggesting that I am using OLD style routing ???
BTW. I am using slackware 1.2 and just a new kernel (1.1.64 now)...

HELP..

1. ICMP: Could not build IP Header..

Hi,
I am using Token ring card on my linux box (kernel 1.2.13, TR
driver 1.2.0, 3Com TokenLing III)
 I got the following message:

ICMP: Could not build IP Header for ICMP Echo Response.

I can ping a router (address: 205.156.203.1) in the ring from
anywhere(including linux box) , but I can't ping the linux box
(205.156.203.2) from any place other than the linux box itself.
Is there anyone know where I setup wrong ? Thanks for any clue.
