KDE Failes to find '__ti6QFrame' in 'ld-elf.so.1' on FreeBSD

Post by Liam Redmon » Tue, 10 Aug 1999 04:00:00

Hi,

I am attempting to install KDE1.1.1 on my FreeBSD 3.2 installation
I have X 3.3.3.1 working O.K and I think I have all the correct packages
 installed.

When KDE starts I get the following symbols not found ...

 __ti6QFrame
 __ti7QObject
 __ti7QWidget
 __ti7QDialog
 __ti7QBuffer

 I have QT1.44 installed.

 Any clues ... ?

Thanks in advance,

Liam D. Redmond.

Hey.  I don't know exactly what causes the problem, but I know that if you
run Xautoconfig and/or Xconfigurator (and set it up differently this time),
it can fix the problem.  Basically, it's in the settings.  I don't know
where, but it just can't load x windows.  I've found that on my 8500/120, it
won't do 16bit color.  It'll do 8 or 24, but no 16.

Try that.
