Very Computer

Trying to start KDE on Fuji laptop from Caldera 2.3 logon screen.

Defaults to an Xwindow reading:

Server is already active for display 0.  

Xlib: connection to ":0,0" refused by server
Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC COOKIE-1 key
giving up
xinit: unable to connect to Xserver
Xinit: no such process (errno 3) : server error

Newbie would appreciate clues.  TIA

(1 = one, not little L; and don't forget the trailing / )

You have an X already running - or it thinks it is.
Look for an X process and kill it, or remove the lock file (hmm, usually
this error message comes with the location of the lock file...)
