libqt3-mt vs. libqt3c102-mt on Debian

Post by Piete » Wed, 19 Feb 2003 05:05:02

Hi all,

KDE is running on my Debian unstabel system, but I'm stuck with a package
conflict.  libqt3c102-mt (3:3.1.1-3) can't live with libqt3-mt
(2:3.1.1+cvs.20021220-1).
The difference between the libqt3c102-mt and libqt3-mt versions is unclear
to me...
I'm not sure whether I'm doing somthing wrong or I just have to wait untill
this conflict is solved by the package managers.

Google isn't very helpfull on this topic either.  Can anyone tell me what is
wrong?

Thanks

Pieter

1. mt question - "mt eom" doesn't work

I have Solaris 2.5.1 running on Ultra 1 Creator. For backup,
I use 4-mm DAT drive and GNU tar (supports compression - Solaris tar
doesn't). I would like to write several archives on one DDS-2 tape.
How do I do that? "mt eom" rewinds the tape to the end of recorded
media, but then the tape is immeditately rewound to the beginning.
Inserting tar command in the same command line doesn't help:
the drive is busy until it is back to the beginning of the tape.

Misha.
