KMail problem

Post by JB » Wed, 16 Oct 2002 22:56:45

I use Kmail 1.4 and KDE 3.0.1.

Now until today, everything worked well, but suddenly, I
cannot send any mails. When I try to send a mail, I get the
error message

Sending failed:
The server didn't accept the sender address:
{mp009-rz3} Cannot resolve your domain - ungueltiger
Domain-Name in Adresse
The message will stay in the 'outbox' folder until you
either fix the problem (e.g. a broken address) or remove
the message from the 'outbox' folder.
Note: Other messages will also be blocked by this message,
as long as it is in the 'outbox' folder
The following transport protocol was used:
Default

Can anybody help me?
TIA,

Are you sure your provider didn't change THEIR settings? And are you using a
genuine e-mail address everyewhere in your identity settings?

Yes. Absolutely sure. Now I reentered the relevant
information again from scratch and it works.
This is the second time KMail lets me down. (The first time
I lost all my settings).

Thank for your answer.

1. Kmail problem

I just switched my email account.  However, kmail assumes that wherever
your incoming mail is coming from is where you can drop off outgoing mail.
My outgoing needs to match my ISP.  I need these two to be different.
Where can I change this?

Incoming: mail.digital51.com
Outgoing: mail.mindspring.com
