Signal 15 in kppp

Hello all,

When dialing in to my ISP with kppp, my login script goes fine, i am
authenticated by my ISP, only to receive a timeout with the following
error written to ~/PPP-logfile :

Oct 29 16:05:53 wl2000 pppd[774]: pppd 2.3.7 started by root, uid 0
Oct 29 16:05:53 wl2000 pppd[774]: Using interface ppp0
Oct 29 16:05:53 wl2000 pppd[774]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS1
Oct 29 16:06:23 wl2000 pppd[774]: Terminating on signal 15.
Oct 29 16:06:29 wl2000 pppd[774]: Connection terminated.
Oct 29 16:06:29 wl2000 pppd[774]: Connect time 0.6 minutes.
Oct 29 16:06:29 wl2000 pppd[774]: Exit.

Could anyone tell me what this Signal 15 is and how to prevent it?
I"ve been through Dejanews but found no solutions.

I'd appreciate any help on this.

Max

Signal 15 in kppp

I am probably wrong, but I get this same error periodically and I am
convinced that it is my choked up ISP.  It only happens at peak access times.

1. syslogd: exiting on signal 15 - exit signals

I'm looking for a list of signals in the FreeBSD kernel, as the message
syslogd: exiting on signal 15 is all I am getting before a system
shutdown.

I need to find out what this error is, how to detect what is causing the
error, and how to fix it.

Can someone please help?

Thanks in advance
