I tried it once and will keep trying it. I'm not very familiar with compiling
kde2, have to start somewhere.....
Maybe I've done somthing wrong or are missing some packages........

I compiled all the previous betas and the 2.1beta2 for SuSE7.0 without too
much trouble. Don't forget to get the latest Qt 2.2.3.
Otherwise, it might be easier to upgrade to SuSE7.0 (7.1 is coming soon) and
use the rpms,

Im having similar Problems compiling the KDE2.1beta2 under Suse 6.4
Compiling qt 2.2.3 is OK
Compiling kdesupport and Installing is OK
Compiling kdelibs and Installing is OK
but other Packages complain about /opt/kde2/bin/quic not beeing there.
this File is nowhere on my System, in which Package can I get it, what
am I missing ??

Hi since I upgraded to SuSE7.1 I can not configure my kde2.1 sources
anymore.
This is what it says for example in kdelibs2.1-beta2
...
checking if STL implementation is SGI like... no
checking if STL implementation is HP like... no
configure: error: no known STL type found
Any hint's ?
