I use Suse 7.0 (based on evaluation plus few additional packages) and
was trying to install kde2. But qtlib2 absolutely refuses to be
installed with
rpm -U --force qtli2.rpm
and issues the message that it cannot be installed.
I tried to uninstall kde1 and yast2 but that did not help.

Some advice from some nice person?

If that is all that the error message said then I would suspect
a corrupted or incomplete rpm file.

I would try downloading it again.
