Very Computer

I would like to use xmms to play some CD music.

As you can guess it does not work right now.

I am wondering if it is a KDE problem, that is if I should indicate KDE
to notify xmms when a CD is inserted?

in my opinion it's generally a bad idea to use xmms for playing CD music...
i think kscd is much better and easier. and btw: if you type "audiocd:/" in
you konqueror window, you can even use konqueror to play audio CDs, or even
directly copy the tracks as WAV-files onto your harddisk!
