mosfet-liquid is dead

Does anyone know what the deal is with http://www.mosfet.org ??
I tried to access it three months ago & found their web site was only
giving a 403 message (either mis-configured their web server or they've
decided to remove it from public access), and now I'm reading that others
haven't been able to access the web site in over a month. So is
mosfet-liquid a dis-continued product? or have they moved somewhere else
without telling anyone?

Discontinued, I think.

Go check this out over at kde-look:

http://www.kde-look.org/news/news.php?id=30

Specificly a reply by (presumably) Mosfet himself:

"I never said it was going to be the last release. There is still
bugfixing, etc... that needs to go on. I also said that although I am on
hiatus I am still doing some Linux stuff, but it is taking a back seat to
things that pay the bills.

I'm not taking Liquid away, nor am I completely stopping development on
it. This isn't a "Mosfet takes off" scenario ;-) Nonetheless most of what
little spare time I have for Linux is focused now on application
development. I *am* getting sick and tired of dealing with widget styles,
and for good reason. I want to do other things.

Read my website at www.mosfet.org for more information."

Unfortunatly that was posted in May... :-\

1. mosfet-liquid and KDE 3.0

My apologies for being a late adopter.  I realized KDE 3.1 is out there
and I may need to upgrade, but I just installed Mdk 9.0 and I'm trying
to get this vry attractive liquid theme to install.  I've been through
several versions (mosfet-liquid0.9.5, 0.9.6-pre4, and even
kdemoreartwork-liquid-0.7-2 which worked quite well with my previous Mdk
8.2 installation), and I keep running into errors with QT, zlib or some
endless dependency hell.  Is there any way to get this theme installed?

And while I'm at it, is there any ay to get 9.0 to boot to a command
line rather than the gui?

Thanks.

Mark
