Konqueror and the Tucows.com website

Hello everyone,
When I try to use Konqueror on the www.tucows.com website, I always have
a problem when you get to the section that asks to you choose a mirror
site closest to you.  The list of mirrors for any particular state never
shows up on the page.  Mozilla works fine on the same site.  However,
Mozilla is huge and I prefer Konqueror for most of my web browsing.

Any suggestions?

I picked the Linux software section , then Texas (I also tried Missouri)
and got mirrors for the two states.  However, I had to hit the GO button.

Make sure that javascript is enabled and at the buttom of the same pane
make sure that "JavaScript web popups policy" is set to either Ask or
Deny. If set to Ask you'll be prompted after selecting your country and
heres the answer No and then click Go.

I'm like you - I like konq because it's quick.  However, I've gotten to the
point where I'm dumping it.  Mozilla may be slower but at least I don;'t
have to spend time trying to it work on the pages I visit.  With Konq I
have to mess around trying to find the magic key that makes it work and 95%
of the time it won't work so I go to Mozilla.  I've gotten so I just use
Mozilla first.  It's a shame because konq could have been an A1 first class
browser - but it can't handle even simple pages.

Out of curiosity...
Have you tried Konq with the Mozilla rendering engine, Gecko? Looks like
kdebinding-kmozilla is required, but I don't know any more than that --
like where do I find kdebinding-kmozilla? Doesn't look like I have it on my
install of KDE 2.2.1 (from Caldera SRPM).
Regards,
Tim

Thanks for the response.  Actually, that is what I meant.  No mirrors
actually show up no matter what state I choose.  They are not there
where I can hit the GO button.  I happen to be running Redmond Linux at
the moment but I've seen this behaviour on FreeBSD with KDE and others...
:-(

Do you have Java and JavaScript on?  To be honest, Konq has a lot of
problems handling sites that others (Linux Mozilla and IE) don't have a bit
of trouble with.  I've gotten to where I run Mozilla and Konq and because
of Konq's problems I'm moving to Mozilla.

Oh, now I get it.  Close the broken window that pops up and then hit the
GO button.  Yep, it works.
