Hi folks,
I know this has surfaced before, but I couldn't find a solution on the
archives or through Deja.
Anyway, this is the problem: I have a freshly installed Redhat 6.2 box
with user authentication handled by NIS. And I can't login using KDM.
It works fine for a local user, but for a user that is exported by a NIS
map I get a login failed. kcheckpass, when called with such an UID,
exits with error code 1 (password invalid), but also prints a error
message to stderr. I can login on the console and start KDE with startx
and XDM apparently also works.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks, Viktor
