Single Click in KDE

Single Click in KDE

OK.

I *really* hate the whole single-click to start an app thing( on of my
quirks, I guess).  How can I make KDE 1.1.2 you double clicks instead?
I've looked in the settings and control panel to no success.

Will there be a setting in KDE 2.0 that will do this?

Thanks,

Brian Sea

Hack the code...... This war has been fought before....

The pre-alpha does have it... Whether it carries over to
the alpha, beta and production release is something I am
not privy to.

Single Click in KDE

Post by Albert Wagne » Fri, 19 Nov 1999 04:00:00

Hi Brian,
Personally I hate double clicks.  I had my NT box set up to single click.  I
heard that kde2 might have the option.

1. KDE - Opening With Double-Click vs. Single-Click

Hi all,
I'm still new to Linux and have a couple of questions.

First, is this the best place for KDE specific questions or is there a KDE
newsgroup?

Second, I installed Lycoris Linux (now Slackware), and it had an option to
open icons with a double click vs the default single click.  I don't see
that option.  Is there a good KDE faq file or a simple configuration setting
somewhere that would let me set this to what I'm used to.

And lastly, is it possible to control the icon size in the file browser
separate from the desktop.  I like the default larger icon on the desktop
and the smaller icon in the file manager program.

You can tell I'm from the Windows world with these questions<grin>.

Thanks - Jack
