That sounds to me like it would arrange them back in a row or whatever.
Instead, try clicking 'line up icons'. That just snaps them to an
invisible grid.

Upgraded to KDE2.2 on Mandrake8.0
All desktop icons in a vertical strips and I cannot move icons around to
place where I want them.
Is there a solution?
