I'm running KDE 3.0.5a (Red Hat 8.0).
Suddenly, when I boot KDE, the splash screen won't go away. I can click on
it and it will then go away and all seems normal. But it won't go away on
it's own after booting KDE.
How do I fix it?

I've seen this behavior at times with versions of KDE before 3.0.5a. EveryQuote:> I'm running KDE 3.0.5a (Red Hat 8.0).

As I said, I haven't seen this behavior since 3.0.4 I think (I'm using
rh73).

Logged out of KDE (saving my session), logged back in, and all is well
again.

1. KDE icons that won't go away.
Hi All,
When KDE starts up it puts 6 or 7 icons on my desktop. If I delete
them, the next time I login they will get put back. Where is this
being controled from so I can stop this once and for all?
Thanks
Joe
