Hi:
please forgive if I've posted this in the wrong news group
I'm the vp of engineering for a small southern California based government
contracting company with a long history of providing security engineering
services to the defense community as well as other federal agencies. In the
near future, we will be called upon to provide additional security engineers
in both, the San Diego and the Washington dc areas. As such, I thought it
wise to toss this out to those of you tracking potential opportunities
either to relocate to a different part of our country, or join-up with a
small company.
Basically, I'm hoping to find up to 10 security engineers (with 7-15 years
of experience and at least a BS) who are also skilled developers, system
designers, integrators, testers and familiar with current DISA guidance. In
addition, I'm seeking experience in secure voice, secure video, secure
protocols, trusted software development, secure operating systems, COMSEC,
secure networks, programming routers and firewall set-ups, etc. I'm not
very interested in those who fit the "analyst" role as mush as those who
have a current working knowledge and a proven track record for designing and
implementing security features. Additionally, those who would like to
respond to this posting should be US citizens and should have had previous
clearances to the appropriate level.
Other areas of interest currently being addressed by our IR&D group include
the possibilities of developing an AI-based risk assessment tool capable of
sufficiently quantifying system-level security risks; an AI-based intrusion
detection/analysis security administration tool that retains the capability
to recognize new patterns using concepts of pattern recognition rather than
expert systems and/or rule-based systems in order to more quickly identify a
potential intrusion across a given network; and finally, to develop an
AI-based penetration testing tool set.
The positions I allude to in the above paragraphs may not be available until
mid-September through the end of 1998. This gives us plenty of time to
meet, discuss common interests and get to know each other's skills and
weaknesses.
If you are interested in these positions and wish to know more about them,
or our company, please feel free to email me directly. A resume would be
nice too :-)
