Enterprise Security - Commercial Vendors (are there any) ?

Post by Anju Da » Sun, 12 Feb 1995 05:10:57

Our organization consists of the usual mish-mash of 3090 host, unix
mid-range systems, unix workstations, PC's etc.  We are currently
evaluating security policies and think that we need a commercial
vendor supported software package to do the job.  Our idea of
security is:
        Network security
        Data security
        User maintenance
and a lot of other issues.

Does anybody in the netland know of any vendors that provide
this kind of Enterprise Security solution ??   CA -Unicenter comes to
mind but we would like to evaluate a few solutions.  Any info would
be appreciated.

1. I am looking for Linux Security FAQ and Security related sites

Hi!

Could you help me, please?
I am looking for a Linux Security FAQ and
Security related Web sites.

I have Slackware (kernel 2.0.30) and one of my users showed me how to
get root rights just for 2 seconds!
It is incredible, but he got them!
It was a trick with a ._ directory.

Thank you for the information!
