need UNIX security information

I need some information for a school presentation I am writing.  I have
searched the internet, but I can not seem to find the information that I
need.  Now, I have come across some information about myths about UNIX
including that UNIX is safe from hackers and has never been hit from a
virus.  The web page I went to went on to say this is not so, but did not go
into much detail.  I was wondering if someone could tell me any other myths
about unix security and also just what viruses and types of viruses have the
unix operating system.

    Thanks,

        Roger
