Can anyone tell me if I can run COPS on a Linux PC? Any special procedures or helpful

On my latest 2-CD Infomagic disks, there is compiled runable version of COPS.
Don't know if it's available from the mit or unc sites, but I'd be
surprised if it wasn't. Didn't run it though I'm sure it will run fine.

Yes you can. I have but it has been a year or so and some of the work I did
not do myself so I can't offer any more advice than yes you can.

On my latest 2-CD Infomagic disks, there is compiled runable version of COPS.
Don't know if it's available from the mit or unc sites, but I'd be
surprised if it wasn't. Didn't run it though I'm sure it will run fine.

Cops compiles more or less right out of rhe box, only the scripts need some
finetuning (not all are configured by 'reconfig')

I have installed COPS from the sources w/o any troubles...

And i must say that a stock Linux distribution had less warnings than HP/UX
or Ultrix! Quite impressive ...

Just like any other unix box, its runs OK.
