CCEVS Interpretation Mailing Lists

CCEVS Interpretation Mailing Lists

Post by Daniel Faig » Fri, 22 Dec 2000 01:51:26

[I am posting this on behalf of the Interpretations Working Group, the
current body within the United States Evaluation Scheme ("NIAP Common
Criteria and Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS)") that is
charged with developing interpretations of the Common Criteria for
Information Technology Security Evaluation ("Common Criteria") and the
Common Evaluation Methodology (CEM). The Common Criteria is the
successor document to the "Orange Book" (TCSEC). More information on
the Common Criteria may be found at www.commoncriteria.org; more
information on the US Evaluation Process may be found at the NIAP home
page, http://niap.nist.gov]

In order to keep interested parties appraised of interpretations
within CCEVS,  the following two mailing lists have been established:

cc-in (Common Criteria NIAP Interpretations Announcements) -
provides a means for the computing security community to receive
direct  notification of new Common Criteria (CC) and Common Evaluation
Methodology (CEM) interpretations that apply to evaluation conducted
under the oversight of the NIAP Common Criteria Evaluation and
Validation Scheme (CCEVS).

cc-cmt (Common Criteria NIAP Interpretations Comments) -
provides a forum for public comment and discussion on proposed NIAP
interpretations to the Common Criteria (CC) and the Common Evaluation
Methodology (CEM).

message should contain the line:
                subscribe <list> <username>

where <list> is the name of the mailing list (either "cc-cmt" or
"cc-in") and <username> is the name by which you wish to be known to
the other participants. The email address added to these lists will be
the one from which the request originated.

Archives of the messages can be found at:
