Hello!

Is it possible to configure Squid to call a script before getting
webpages? I am currently using two scripts (ppp_up and ppp_down) which
i call manually to establish a connection to my ISP (and for
disconnecting). I want to use this two scripts togehter with Squid. He
should check if the connection is established, and when not, he should
call the script.

Is this possible??

Yes, but:
1) what's it got to do with comp.security.unix
2) there are two places from which you can invoke scripts; the authorization
process and url re-writing, neither of which are really appropriate to what
you're trying to acheive.

Try demand dialling instead.
