IBM RS/6000 43P 140

I have a PowerPC machine that is IBM RS/6000 43P 140.
I want to know whether it is possible to install Linux on my machine.

I visited www.Linuxppc.org, however,
I couldn't find whether Linux is working
on my machine or how to install Linuxppc on my machine.
(I couldn't know what is PReP and CHRP and
 which one includes my machine.)

Whoever did install Linuxppc on IBM RS/6000 43P or similar model?
If exists, how can I install Linuxppc on my machine?

The 140 isn't supported so far, but I think it was announced as one
of the machines that IBM wanted to support in their Linux porting efforts
to RS/6000. Only the 100 and 120 models run Linux so far (I have a 120 here).

I have a IBM RS/6000 7248 Model 43P I am trying to install linux onto.
I downloaded the boot file from the linuxppc-R4 RedHat directory and was
able to boot off of it.  But I cannot successfully complete a setup.  It
always dies with the message "Panic: unable to mount root restarting in
180 secs."  How did you install your copy of linux?

And do you know how we can get in contact at IBM to help porting Linux?

(BTW, do you know if they also plan on porting to the 570?)

Thanks!
