Ye ol' HP Deskwriter and MkLinux

I know a month or two ago, there were some folks asking about getting HP
Deskwriters to work with MkLinux DR3. Wanted to see if anyone has had any luck
so far. I can get documents less than one page long to print, but anything over
that, the printer outputs "Datacomm buffer overrun - no DTR handshaking", which
is not sufficiently enlightening. I was under the impression that by putting
crtscts in a stty statement, handshaking would be enabled, but apparently I'm
still not doing something right.

Anyone have expertise to lend?

The only way I have the DeskWriter to print is using AppleTalk and another
Mac os bridge between EtherNet and LocalTalk. And this just works like a
charm.

http://d194-185.uoregon.edu/~louisk/linux/how-to/ has a section on
printers.  if other people send me info on printing, I can put it up
there also.  right now the only section is on deskwriters cause that's
what I have  : )

1. HP Deskwriter/MKlinux

Hi,
I got an old HP deskwriter connected to my Mac. The printer works fine
with MacOS. Using MKlinux the printer complains about "data buffer
overrrun - no DTR handshaking".  I do not anderstand why the handshaking
is not working as I have set stty crtcts to switch it on. I must have
mist somethink somewhere but what and where?

Any ideas?
