For those who are interested: I created a team for all Linux users working
with PowerPC hardware. I hope the name is as neutral as possible, so ALL PPC
related distributions can participate =:)

I thought about doing this myself a while back (before the Mac/Linux
client was released). I concluded that it probably wasn't worth the effort
since the "platform" gets tracked anyway.

Can someone explain me what is the difference between
PowerPC specific GNU packages (binutils, gcc, gdb etc.)
configuration options: powerpc-linux, powerpc-eabi,
powerpc-eabisim ?
ps. I'm going to port linux to a powerpc based embedded
system
