Trouble setting up BootX

One drive set up as follows:

Partition map (with 512 byte blocks) on '/dev/scsi0.3' (/dev/sdb)
 #:                type name                   length   base    ( size )

Device block size=512, Number of Blocks=2503871 (1.2G)
DeviceType=0x0, DeviceId=0x0
Drivers-

The vmlinux and ramdisk.image.gz files are in the system folder, boot
device specified as <scsi0.3>.

The installation manual tells me to "you will need to specify the root
partition in BootX" but doesn't tell me how to do this. I put
"/dev/sda3" in the 'more kernel arguments' field, but that doesn't seem
to do the trick.

Who spots the error?

In the LinuxPPC screen there is an option to list your root device...
there is a box next to /dev/ that you type in where your root is...
according to your info, put sdb3 there, and make sure that the use RAM
disk option is NOT selected.
