Very Computer

I can't automatically mount a hfs CD-ROM under YDL2.0 even though, my
file type is auto.  I must do it manually.

The "auto" specified here is only about the filesystem type.
AFAIK, no distros for PPC have the "supermount" utility!

I have installed the YDL 2.0 and the command "auto" in the fstab file no
longer works.

Gosh! I've installed MandrakeLinux for PPC (8.0 Beta1) and it doesn't
work!

BTW... anyone knows why on my Yosemite G3/300 the default kernel goes to
panic?

Which are you working with Mandrake or YDL 2.0 ?????

just for refernce - I think the Mandrake kernel is screwy in the first
place

It worked with LinuxPPC2000 and LinuxPPC2000Q4.

At the moment I'm getting it work with a SuSE Kernel.
The original Mandrake Kernel hangs with a Kernel Panic after a couple of
seconds.
