Linux Penguin Plush

1. Plush penguin?

At:

http://www.cnn.com/TECH/computing/9811/10/windows.competitor/

there's a little box with a picture of a shrinkwrapped Linux
distribution and a plush penguin. Is this any sort of "official" Linux
penguin? How does the licensing of Linux relate to collateral such as
plush toys, etc?

Just curious.
