Hi,
I did get the same error. Here's what the problem was. I had created a
few partitions: / 800MB, /home 120MB, swap 64MB and an HFS partition of
30MB (sizes are approximate, but that's irrelevant). When in the
xinstaller I clicked the select partitions button and told it what
partition is to be mounted where (eg /dev/sda4 as /), it somehow
confused the 30MB HFS partiton with the one I made for / and since there
were only 30 MB available, pretty much all RPMS failed to install.
The installer works this way. You should partition your hard drive and
mount your / under /mnt/install, that's where the installer installs the
rpms. So what I did was, repartitioned the hard drive again (because I
wasn't sure if the partition table wasn't screwed up during the failed
installation, rebooted into the installer again, launched a xterm,
mounted /dev/sda4 (change this accordingly) under /mnt/install and
started the installation. This time around, everything worked fine.
Hope that helps.
Chepati.
