Isn't Netscape great?

Actually, Netscape sometimes gets confused (by some servers) and asks
for a text/plain plugin. Obviously, it's suppost to handle this. I've
seen this error before, but it doesn't seem to stop Netscape from
loading (it's funny though).

The problem is that the porter of Netscape to LinuxPPC can not figure
out how to properly get plug in support, and because it's properity, he
can't talk about it with other people.

1. Lynx: Binaries giving "text/plain"

When downloading files that do not have common extensions like .com or
.zip, Lynx refers to the .mime.types file I set up to determine if it
should be binary or not.  So I go to an ftp site, and it works fine and
comes out Octet-Stream.

Not so in one case I found.  One place I went to, all the files I tried to
download kept coming up as "text", with the same filename extensions that
I had already downloaded from other ftp sites successfully as
Octet-stream.  Why is my Mime file being ignored?  The only tidbit I
notice of difference here is that the site was a http address.
