Hi,
I got an old HP deskwriter connected to my Mac. The printer works fine
with MacOS. Using MKlinux the printer complains about "data buffer
overrrun - no DTR handshaking".  I do not anderstand why the handshaking
is not working as I have set stty crtcts to switch it on. I must have
mist somethink somewhere but what and where?

Any ideas?

Manfred

See my posts in the Faq-O-Matic. Make sure you're using an Imagewriter I cable
(or a GDT PowerPrint cable connected to the parallel port).

Consult me if you have further questions.

1. Problems setting up HP Deskwriter 560C under MkLinux DR3

I am having a great deal of difficulty trying to get printing to reliably work
to my HP DeskWriter 560C from MkLinux DR3 on a Power MAC 6500.  Whenever I send
a file of more than a few hundred bytes I receive the error message:

Datacomm buffer overrun - no DTR handshaking.

I have followed all the directions under the MkLinux FAQ page and they are not
working.  Anybody have any ideas?
