Hello

I'm trying to install linux ppc 2000 on an IBM thinkpad 820 ( powerpc 603)
but when I insert the CD and choose to boot from the CD : nothing. I
download an image floppy disk to boot : always nothing . Does anyone could
help me please ?

The Thinkpad 820 is not listed among those that can run LinuxPPC.

Do more looking around I'm sure it can be done, but it will be work.  Linux

Hi Gilles,

I've heard word of PowerPC Linux installing on the 850 thinkpad but I've heard
it wasn't particularily easy. Hopefully the 820 and 850 are quite close from a
hardware perspective.

I'd recommend searching the archives at lists.linuxppc.org, especially the
linuxppc-workstation list.
