It also allowed file and printer sharing on DOS/Windoze ethernet
networks.  It worked well with Novell's LAN workplace for DOS and
other TCP/IP stacks.

1. LOCUS PC Interface, comments?

I have used PCI in a variety of configs and never found the load on
the PC or the host to be troublesome.  They seem to have made a very
clean implementation on the DOS side as I was able to run Windows and
DOS programs, a unix terminal session and PCI shell commands
simutaineously.  On a PS/2 Mod 80, no less.

I have a customer who has PS/2 Mod 55s running PCI attached to an
RS/6000 (AIX).  These are something like 16Mhz 386 systems with 2MB
RAM and they are able to run WP, 123, etc under DOS sharing the host
printers and disk space.  Windows is out of the question in that
config.

Siffice it to say, it really has proven to be a workhorse with few
problems.
